Having Fun.
Entertainment played a big role in the 30s. Neighbors got together and played games or just talked. People went to churches or school programs to meet new people. Dances gave teenagers and young adults the chance to enjoy themselves and go on dates. If families had radios, they would listen to the news and radio programs like comedy, drama or talk shows. They would even listen to music like jazz or swing music. Even in hard times, neighbors still kept each other company.
